After completing a study with partner Cushman & Wakefield, BCG
decided to relocate their office from Bethesda, MD to Washington,
DC. BCG worked closely with Gensler to establish program
requirements for the new space and enlisted Price Modern to support
the procurement of new furnishings. As part of their relocation, BCG
sought to incorporate more meeting and collaborative spaces to
better support how staff work. Gensler’s design balanced the need
for function with a residential aesthetic, utilizing a variety of colors
and textures to create a welcoming environment.
The Price Modern teamed collaborated with BCG, Gensler, Haworth,
and 45+ manufacturers to create custom furniture solutions
throughout the entire space. This included conference rooms, team
rooms, lounge areas, café seating, focus rooms, and much more. We
coordinated with the entire team to customize virtually every piece of
furniture in the new workplace, ensuring BCG’s vision was brought to
life. Private offices and workstations were also customized, requiring
our team to work hand-in-hand with the general contractor to
ensure power was placed correctly throughout each floor. Though
the project timeline was challenged by delays in manufacturing,
our team communicated regularly to track all furniture and ensure
products were delivered as quickly as possible. The result is a
stunning workplace set to inspire staff to do their best work.
This project won the NAIOP DC|MD Award of Exellence, Best Interiors
