College Park City Hall

The City of College Park (City) partnered with the
University of Maryland (University) to develop a
one-of-a-kind facility that would serve the entire
community. This massive undertaking required close
communication among all partners and vendors to
ensure a successful outcome for both parties.
Price Modern worked closely with both the City and
University to understand the goals for their individual
spaces. Together, both parties aspired to create
a highly functional, modern environment for staff
and community members alike. Our team specified
solutions for workstations, private offices, huddle
rooms, collaborative areas, break rooms, and a large
city council chamber.
Though te building is shared, the Price Modern
team worked with the City and University separately
for their spaces, requiring our team to maintain a
cohesive aesthetic across all four floors. We also
ensured products were ordered by floor and that the
phased installation schedule would meet the desired
move-in timeline. The Price Modern team was able to
deliver this unique project on time and within budget,
satisfying both the City and University as they embark
on an exciting new partnership.
This project was awarded the 2022 Excellence in
Design: Public Building of the Year Award (Institutional
Architecture) by the AIA Maryland Chapter.
