After many years in the same location, Host Hotels decided to relocate their headquarters to Downtown Bethesda to provide staff with more convenient transit access, more amenities, and a higher quality workspace. Host Hotels and architecture firm, Gensler, developed a design that would emulate the various destinations that their guests experience around the globe. Host Hotels sought an upscale design rooted in nature that would inspire staff and promote their unique culture.

The Price Modern team worked closely with the entire Host Hotels project team to select furnishings that would achieve these goals and transition seamlessly across all four floors. Plush ancillary seating balances the modern wood and glass elements throughout, providing warmth and inviting staff to connect in a casual setting. A variety of workstation and private office layouts support staff members’ unique work styles and roles, all of which include ample storage and height-adjustable tables to support staff well-being. To capitalize on the floor-toceiling windows, workstations were specified with glass stackers on top of fabric panels to provide visual and acoustic privacy without losing natural light. The Price Modern team worked diligently with all project partners to ensure Host Hotels’ new headquarters was executed flawlessly and to their utmost satisfaction
