Once home to the Newseum, this prominent building found new purpose as JHU’s Bloomberg Center to house the School of Advanced International Studies, the Carey Business School, the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, Peabody Institute, and the newly established School of Government and Policy. With over 3,000 students, staff, and guests coming through the building each day, it was imperative for the new space to be a collaborative learning and working environment. Our team partnered closely with Rockwell Group to specify ancillary furniture solutions for the expansive 10-floor building, working with over 50 furniture, fabric, and leather manufacturers.

We also provided over 10 area rugs with the help of Price Modern’s dedicated flooring department. One of the most visible and utilized spaces in the building is The Beach, the central gathering space seen in the atrium. This open area includes a variety of lounge furniture including custom banquettes that sit along the central stairway. Additional spaces we furnished include casual collaborative areas, conference rooms of all sizes, a large conference center, huddle rooms, 38 classrooms, a library, and rooftop terrace with views of the Capitol Building. Coordinating the furniture design, procurement, delivery, and installation, Price Modern’s close partnership with Rockwell Group ensured we brought their vision to life with a seamless process from start to finish
