Falls Church City Public Schools (FCCPS) set out to redefine the modern high school experience with the construction of Meridian High School—the city’s first new school in over 50 years. Designed as a flexible, community-focused space, the 290,000-square-foot building supports a wide range of activities, from STEM labs and media centers to breakout zones and a 475-person cafeteria.

FCCPS partnered with Stantec and Gilbane to shape the vision, and brought on Price Modern to deliver a furniture package that aligned with LEED Gold certification goals, supported student needs, and stayed within budget. Our team furnished faculty offices, learning spaces, and public areas across all six floors.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we adapted layouts with flexible solutions to support safe in-person learning. Today, Meridian High School stands as a model for what’s possible when sustainability,
education, and thoughtful design come together.
