Schar Cancer Institute

Situated on the former ExxonMobil campus, Inova enlisted Wilmot Sanz and Price Modern to help envision a new cancer institute that would bring together a variety of disciplines, including oncology, surgery, radiation, and more. The goal for the new facility was to simplify the already difficult process for patients as they navigate their cancer journey.

Price Modern partnered closely with Wilmot Sanz and Clark Construction to coordinate the complex logistics of the project, developing a furniture package that fosters a calming environment for both staff and patients. The team provided solutions for patient rooms, waiting areas, exam rooms, infusion bays, administrative areas, and more across the nine-floor building. Throughout the process, Price Modern maintained open communication with the entire Inova project team to ensure smooth execution and deliver a truly welcoming space. This project was honored with the ENR Mid-Atlantic Best Project Award (Healthcare).
