Supporting Community Through Design
When The DC Center for the LGBTQ+ Community relocated to its new headquarters in Washington, DC, the goal was to create a welcoming hub for advocacy, education, wellness, and connection. Working alongside Hickok Cole, Price Modern coordinated a collaborative furniture donation with its network of manufacturing partners to furnish the new space with height-adjustable workstations, private offices, meeting rooms, lounge areas, and flexible community spaces. By bringing together donated furniture, repurposed showroom inventory, and thoughtful planning, the project created a cohesive environment that supports the Center’s mission and the people it serves every day.
The partnership extended beyond the installation through Price Modern’s annual Pride celebration, where employees, clients, and manufacturer partners raised additional funds for The DC Center, reinforcing a shared commitment to creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and empowered.
